FACT Oregon, Oregon Department of Education, and Central Oregon Disability Network are coming together to help families learn more about changes to abbreviated school day policies in Oregon.

In the Understanding SB 819: Ensuring Equitable Education for Students with Disabilities in Oregon virtual training, we will:

  • Talk about why it's important that students with disabilities get the same instructional time and services as other kids.

  • Explain phrases the law uses like "student with a disability" and “abbreviated school day."

  • Share information about parent/caregiver informed and written consent and meeting timelines.

Interpretation available by request. Requests made with less than three (3) days' notice may not be accommodated.
